I saw a sad story in the LAX when I was working there, and I started to think that how can I help them with my feeble power. When I got this topic from my professor, I think I should do this project.
NOW IN THE MOST OF THE AIRPLANE
Passengers need change to aisle chair at airplane gate.
At least two persons (Pushers) required.
The passenger need cross his/her arm before buckle the belt.
The pusher will push the aisle chair to the final seat, the seat usually is one of the first lane.
At least two pushers need hold him/she, lift and transfer him/she again.
Done.
*First lane's chair in airplane can't lift handle up.

The passenger arrive LAX from Asia, he and his wife couldn't speak English. I saw this case at 2017 when I was working for an international airline.

​Transfer the passenger from seat to aisle wheelchair.

The disable passenger need change aisle chair to regular wheelchair.
The 50 years old disable passenger is the last passenger. All flight attendances were waiting for him.
His pants were on the half of his butt, and we can see his diapers. But he is too heavy and all workers are busy to go to border.

I think a better tool can offer a better experience.
So, I decided to design an aisle wheelchair to:

1. MOVABLE SEAT

Rotatable seat holder
Both back slid board and seat slid board can be slided to the side.
​
At the seat area, the bottom seat base can be rotated. the seat base board can be connected to a rotated holder.
The top pad can connect to the final destination(aim chair), as a bridge for passager.
2. UNIQUE DESIGN

Compare with most kind of aisle chairs, WCY is fordable. It can be used as a regular wheelchair so it can serve at most the special and regular places. It is easy to carry with, especially for the narrow places.
The movable seat board is over a rail. The rail is part of a circle. So it is easier to move the board.
FORDABLE
The aisle chair can be folded as a suitcase size.
WIDTH
Reasonable width for the airplane's aisle.
3. LABOR
Only one stakeholder is necessary for the transfer process.

4. TRY IT AS A USER
After review many interviews, I tried LAX aisle chair in person. I can feel some interviewers feeling about "independent".
